"To address low customer satisfaction and poor communication caused by ineffective training, Craig introduced a hands-on, shop-floor-based Protect Plus training program for new starters. This approach boosted team confidence, improved customer engagement, and streamlined operations - resulting in higher satisfaction, stronger team morale, and a more efficient service experience."
Craig
Product Specialist at John Lewis & Partners
"To tackle customer confusion from inconsistent delivery details and poor stock visibility, Fiona led the development of a tactical backorder solution for Apple’s New Product Introductions. By refining processes and communication, the initiative is projected to generate £5.2 million in revenue, with £1–2 million in incremental value from enhanced customer engagement and higher digital conversion rates."
Fiona
Product Manager at John Lewis & Partners
"With the Waitrose supply chain operating near capacity and optimised mainly for larger stores, expansion plans were at risk and market share potentially impacted. Peter conducted a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis to uncover inefficiencies and identify opportunities for improvement. His report highlighted £598,000 in potential annual savings and laid the groundwork for operational changes to improve site flow and overall efficiency—directly supporting future retail growth and scalability."
Peter
Continuous Improvement Manager at Waitrose & Partners
"In just three months, Kerry recognised the inefficiency of manual sales tracking and led the shift to digital tools. She developed a clear, strategic plan, secured stakeholder buy-in, and leveraged expert networks to ensure successful implementation. Alongside improving team culture and applying apprenticeship insights, her initiative has saved time and costs—demonstrating her strong leadership and impact in driving data-led efficiency early in her career."

"Faced with low engagement from unappealing voucher offers, Adam gathered customer insights and proposed a shift to fixed-value vouchers (e.g., £1 off at checkout) instead of item-specific discounts. This customer-focused approach aims to increase satisfaction and drive higher transaction rates, with the potential to deliver a measurable uplift in sales performance."
Adam
Retail Manager at Waitrose & Partners
"Manual assignment of background checks was causing delays and inefficiencies for the recruitment team, affecting workflow and candidate experience. Joseph introduced an automated work assignment system to streamline this process. The solution cut background check processing time by 56%, saving around 1 hour per case, improving overall efficiency and increasing team confidence in the new system."
Joe
Senior Systems Analyst at John Lewis & Partners
"The John Lewis Windows department lacked an online payment option for made-to-measure orders, leading to customer dissatisfaction and security concerns from manual payments. Sahar applied SWOT/MOST analyses, stakeholder interviews, and process modelling to assess and address inefficiencies. Her proposed online payment solution is expected to save 15–20 minutes per transaction, offer 24/7 payment access, improve data security, and reduce admin workload—streamlining operations and boosting customer satisfaction."
Sahar
Payment & Order Administrator at Waitrose & Partners
"Rhiann identified a gap in business transformation tools within the Delivery Lead community, particularly around analysis, process modelling, and prioritisation. She created and shared effective models, which were quickly adopted by a Product Manager to improve ODG product prioritisation and stakeholder engagement. Her work delivered strategic value while demonstrating her ability to turn theory into real-world impact and practical solutions."

Our results
"I have developed scalable dashboards and reports to demonstrate the value of trade-driving actions and funding for brands and retail media teams. These tools, integrated into larger marketing initiatives, help drive bottom-line profits and automate reporting, saving time and enabling data-driven decisions across teams. Following completing the programme I've recently been successful in securing a promotion. None of this would have been possible without the support & guidance my Multiverse coach and the wider Multiverse team, so I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for providing us with such a great learning experience."
Jack Munge
Level 4 Data Fellowship (Partner & Online Merchandiser)
"The Multiverse data apprenticeship has been so valuable in developing my knowledge of gathering and using data with my team and supporting the business operations. I’m looking forward to seeing what more I can do with my new skills. I have identified and captured information on till usage, supporting investigations into options for removing under-utilised tills. By assessing till performance across all shops in 2024, I was able to deliver business impact with key benefits for the team and stakeholders, saving significant time in future reviews to streamline till points."
Tim Cusick
Level 3 Data & Insights for Business Decisions (Partner & Business Analyst)
"I led the transition from Adobe Premiere Pro to Canva, demonstrating how it could provide greater access and efficiency at a reduced cost. Through stakeholder collaboration, I also improved processes on the Comms Platform, cutting double working hours and streamlining workflows. These changes have enhanced team productivity and saved significant costs. Following the completion of the programme, I have successfully advanced in my role, and none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of my Multiverse coach and the wider team. I’m truly grateful for this learning experience and the opportunities it has provided."
