We’ve reached another milestone on our mission. Our community has reached 10,000 apprentices and alumni.
That’s 10,000 lives changed. Thousands of first steps on the career ladder, and thousands more taking that crucial next step in their career, all the way to the boardroom.
Many of our apprentices have broken down barriers that stood in their way, and overcome the odds. Every one of our apprentices has shown dedication to development, and a true drive to grow.
10,000 is just the beginning
The first 10,000 apprentices have led the way and will inspire many more people to take their career to the next level with an apprenticeship.
Apprentices like Isabelle, who started her apprenticeship with us in 2017. She now works as a talent partner at a fintech, and she was nominated at the Black Tech Achievement ceremony for the rising star award in March 2022. Isabelle says: “Multiverse was the initial stepping stone in helping me find my passion and developing those initial key skills needed to succeed which I still develop to this day. They helped me to be confident in my abilities, to not compare myself to others and made me realize the importance of still being yourself at work and seeing the opportunities that can appear by doing so.”
Or Terence, who was an early adopter of Multiverse apprenticeships in the US: "I can see where I want to be in my career, I can see where I'm going, and I have control over that process."
An extraordinary few years for Multiverse
Hitting this milestone is a true mark of credibility for our offering, and follows a number of special moments for Multiverse.
The UK’s first EdTech unicorn
Last year, we announced a $220m Series D - making us the UK’s first EdTech unicorn. Just last summer, we were granted the power to award Multiverse Degrees from the Office for Students. In 2021, our first Ofsted inspection saw us receive ‘Outstanding’ in every category, making us the only provider of our size and sector that can claim this accolade.
Through it all, we’ve stayed true to our mission of empowering a diverse group of future leaders. 52% of the apprentices we place are women, 21% are Black, 23% are from Asian backgrounds, and 41% meet one or more indicator of socioeconomic disadvantage.
Community of 10,000 see long-term benefit of their apprenticeship
Multiverse apprentices and alumni see the benefit of their apprenticeship long after they finish with over 90% remaining with their employer post-apprenticeship and 68% promoted during or at the end of their programs.
Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the companies we work with who have been a core part of this journey with us, hiring and upskilling their employees on world-class apprenticeships.
But above all, we want to say a big thank you to every single one of the 10,000 apprentices and alumni who have been with us on this journey.
