After a year like no other, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is high on the agenda for organisations across the UK and US. Startups and corporations, as well as further and higher education institutions, are committing to better reflecting the communities they serve.
We’re right there with them. From ensuring equity of access to our incredible apprenticeships to creating routes to the boardroom for a diverse group of future leaders, our approach to DEI has always been crucial to achieving our social mission.
Be the change you want to see
We want to be a leader when it comes to DEI, and this journey starts within. Since day one, we’ve put inclusion at the heart of our growth. This includes implementing a DEI monitoring structure for all our teams, partnering with like-minded organisations to reach talent from a diversity of backgrounds, and offering reverse mentorship to all our senior leaders.
We also have DEI trained Champions across our business. Given a platform to make a real impact, our Champions embed inclusivity practises and amplify diverse voices throughout our community.
Partnering with BYP for greater impact
Against this backdrop, we’re delighted to announce our partnership with the Black Young Professionals (BYP) Network. There’s no doubt it will help us reach even more exceptional professionals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
BYP Network was formed to connect Black professionals from all over the world, providing access to role models, career opportunities and business support.
With 50,000 members spread across five continents, they’re on a mission to shift the Black narrative. Proud to be joining them on this journey, we’ll be working together on content, events and networking opportunities for their community of professionals.
Tailored events and content
Since we first connected with the BYP Network in November 2020, we’ve held events(opens new window) focused on our unique approach to coaching and created tailored careers content(opens new window) for BYP’s network of black professionals.
As we grow, the Multiverse social mission remains the same: to build an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training – an alternative with DEI at its core. BYP shares this sense of purpose, and we can’t wait to build on our partnership and provide even more opportunities for our communities.

"We were founded on a mission to create a diverse group of future leaders, and that applies both within our company and to the apprenticeships we create. We know that talent is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not, so it's incumbent on all of us to do something about it. Talented people whatever their background deserve a clear path to success. The brilliant BYP Network aligns perfectly with our mission, and this partnership will enable us to share opportunities, content and resources across our communities."

“In 2016, Black Lives Matter brought my focus to police brutality but also opened my eyes to the lack of Black employees in the companies I worked for. I knew we needed to catapult the community forward, both economically, professionally, and within society.
“One of the ways I saw this happening was by connecting Black professionals to corporations that genuinely care about hiring and retaining Black talent. So far, our members have been at the heart of our growth but we've also welcomed the support of our corporate partners and allies.
“That is why our partnership with Multiverse is one we’ve truly enjoyed. Working with a company that exists to tear down a broken system means working with a company whose vision aligns with ours. We look forward to a long-term partnership filled with impact and opportunities for our community and so many others.”
Siobhan Randell, Senior Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager at Multiverse, said:
“Our partnership with BYP is an important part of the recruitment strand of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy. We’ve been able to work collaboratively to develop content that will add value to the community with the goal of reaching exceptional Black professionals across the UK with our many exciting career opportunities.”
